The game was off and the referee already under scrutiny after a very questionable call Just minutes into the game. Kings Hill as Tommy Lee Judd latched onto a ball from over the top. Judd charged into the penalty box only to be taken down by one of the two defenders that were chasing him. A stone cold penalty but the referee just waved play on despite all the uproar.
Kings Hill created some good build up play, a few pop shots to test the keeper and see what he was capable of.
Large periods of possession from kingshill lacking any intent until. Craig Mocrief receives the ball with his back to goal he creates him self some space with a nice bit of play down the far left hand side, a brilliant turn to beat his man and a wonderful left foot driven cross across the face of the goal. The ball flashes past Sinden who just missed the simple touch to score. Remained 0-0 with 15 minutes gone.
Moncrief again with some dangerous play down the left, beating his man and putting another great cross only for the keeper to come and collect.
Through out this first period the referee’s calls are questionable, confusing pure body strength with intent to bring players down. With both Teams management struggling to understand what he is giving.
Kinsg Hill again on the attack Large throw in by Jason Hollick, into the box for Sinden to flick on and Austin attempts a scissor kick. Promising attacks from Kings Hill with 10 minutes left in the first half. Remains 0-0.
Free kick for South Darenth on the edge of the box by the corner flag, a big threat for Kings Hill if they can't defend correctly. Kings Hill successfully clears the ball.
A huge chance for South Darenth to score as a ball was threaded through the Kings Hill defence and was left one in one with the keeper from a tight angle. Sam Ribbins makes a great save to keep the away side level. The ball goes out for a corner, which Kings Hill easily dealt with this time around.
Half time comes with a lot of talking points, sadly only about the referee, soft fouls and questionable ofsides the referee and linesmen have all had terrible first half. A real evaluation is needed for the second half.
A great start to the second half off. Richard Sinden scores a delightful chip resulting from a fantastic pass South Darenth could've deal with, Sinden charges in and lobs the keeper. 1-0 Kinsg Hill FC.
The next attack results in another goal for Kings Hill FC 2-0, Great build up play opens the south darenth defence and Moncieff finishes the move with a nice left footed low driven shot to the keepers right. A powerful start by Kings Hill in the second half.
Talking of goals, it’s 3-0 with Tyler Wait getting it. An initial save from the South Darenth goalkeeper from Substitute Franco Minieri strike the rebound falls to Lee Judd he squares the ball to fellow substitute Wait who curls the shot into the center of the goal. All three substitutions combine to create Kings Hills third goal.
The action wasn’t over yet, a penalty is awarded to Kings Hill, Sinden barged over from behind a booking for the defender. Sinden regains his composure and steps up to take the penalty. The South Darenth goalkeeper goes the correct way and saves to his right hand side. Remains 3-0 to Kings Hill.
The referee liked handing out yellow cards in this game as he dishes out 2 yellows for a tackle and the following retaliation.
Tyler Wait for Kings hill and South Darenth number 9 go in for a tackle, Wait wins the ball and South Darenth number 9 decides to retaliate and starts barging and pushing Tyler. Resulting in them both getting booked.
South Darenth are awarded a penalty after a short period of pressure in the last few minutes of the game. Penalty for South Darenth 11 to take the penalty and scores in the bottom left hand corner. 3-1 to Kings Hill with a few minutes left to go.
Game ending 3-1 to Kings Hill there was some serious talking points for both teams but mainly regarding the referee and his performance.
